This afternoon I had the pleasure of representing Denholme as Town Mayor, accompanied by my husband, the Mayor Consort, at the Licensing and Induction of the Revd Daniel as Team Rector of the Benefice of Harden, Wilsden, Cullingworth and Denholme.

It was a real privilege to be invited to say a few words of welcome on behalf of our town and to be part of such a special occasion. It was wonderful to see so many people from across the four communities come together to celebrate the beginning of Daniel’s ministry.

As I said this afternoon, the strongest communities are built through kindness, partnership and a willingness to work together. Whether through local councils, churches, community groups or volunteers, we all have a role to play in helping our communities thrive.

On behalf of all of Denholme, Congratulations, Daniel, on the start of this exciting new chapter. I wish you and your family every happiness and success in your ministry, and I look forward to working together in the years ahead.

Thank you to everyone who made the service such a warm and memorable occasion.

Unfortunately the Town Council meeting to be held 22nd June is now *cancelled* due to unforeseen circumstances.

Our next Town Council meeting will now be on 6th July.

🎄Denholme Christmas light switch on - Saturday 29th November from 4pm at Denholme Community Centre.

We have lots of FREE fun activities for all.
SANTA will be here in his grotto, listening to children’s wishes and gifting a little something.
Brass band and Christmas classics.
Grab a hot chocolate or mulled w**e, or a bite to eat and watch the Christmas light switch on at 6pm.

There may also be an extra little surprise this year 😉
