⛵️ARMY SAILING ⛵️

One of our REME soldiers, Cfn Salmon (yes, really!) recently took on the RORC Round Britain & Ireland Race, joining a team of 7 Regular and Reserve personnel with a range of specialist skills.

As the team’s Marine Engineer, he spent 12 days battling the North Atlantic, working 6-hour on 3-hour off shifts, living on ration packs and grabbing sleep wherever possible.

And in true military style, the team even rescued a barn owl 70 nautical miles offshore! 🦉

From engineering to sailing, leadership to teamwork, the Army gives you opportunities to challenge yourself and do things you never thought possible.

The British Motor Show 🇬🇧

Last week, members of the Battalion headed to the Farnborough British Motor Show, joining other military units at an engagement stand alongside an SVR, showcasing the opportunities, careers and experiences the Army has to offer.

It was a great opportunity to meet members of the public, talk all things engineering and highlight the vital role REME plays in keeping Army vehicles and equipment moving.

Members of the Battalion also took the opportunity to meet the one and only Whizzo! Sporting Bears Motor Club 👀📸

A fantastic few days of engagement, conversations and showcasing Arte et Marte. ⚙️🇬🇧

🚚TRUCK PULL CHALLENGE🚚

Mission accomplished! 👏

Members of 103 Battalion REME successfully completed the 2-mile truck pull from Welling to Bexleyheath in support of Uniformed Services Day, pulling a MAN SV 9-tonne truck to raise money for the REME Charity.

An incredible effort, showcasing teamwork, determination and resilience from everyone involved. A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support, cheer them on and donate to such a fantastic cause.
