🇬🇧 FROM RECRUIT TO SOLDIER 🇬🇧

Ever wondered what happens after you apply to join the Army Reserve?

For our recruits, the journey starts with an application and continues through Attestation, getting your uniform, getting paid and joining weekly drill nights.

Drill nights are where recruits start learning the basics of military life. Building the knowledge, skills and confidence they’ll need for Basic Training.

From learning how to be a soldier, to putting those skills into practice at Basic Training, every drill night is another step towards passing out and joining your company.

One night a week. New skills. New challenges. One step closer to becoming a soldier.

Your journey starts here. 💪

🛠️ ATC | ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP 🛠️

This week see's the Recovery Mechanics from 103 Battalion putting their skills to the test and getting stuck into some serious REME recovery training.

Our soldiers have been recovering Bulldogs using the MAN SVR, developing the practical skills, teamwork and confidence needed to keep vehicles moving and the Battalion operational. 💪🔧

For those wondering, ATC is the two-week annual camp that Reservists complete and goes towards thier Certificate of Efficiency.

And yes… we know. Hi-vis AND camouflage. 👀
Do they want to be seen or not?! 😂

We promise there is a reason for both… probably. 🙄

💪 BASIC TRAINING COMPLETE 💪

A huge congratulations to Cfn Jeffrey, who has successfully completed his Basic Training at Grantham Army Training Unit. 🪖

Showing the grit, determination and commitment expected of a future soldier, Chris now joins 118 CS Coy REME, where he’ll begin his journey towards becoming a Recovery Mechanic.🔧

And the best part? He’ll be doing it alongside his civilian career as a self-employed IT Consultant. 💻

One career doesn’t have to mean giving up another.

Welcome to the REME family, Cfn Jeffrey. 👊
