National Volunteers' Weeks is a celebration dedicated to saying 'thank you' to the millions of people across the country who consistently make a difference in their communities.

If you're a volunteer, why not pop down to Leisure United Centre at Racecourse Park, St Marks Road, Derby tomorrow between 4-5pm to be celebrated and recognised by way of coffee & cake! 🍰☕

🏏Join in the fun and take part in walking cricket on Tuesday 2th and 9th June in the PlayZone court at Alvaston Park with Derbyshire Cricket Foundation 🏏

Sessions are running from 1 to 2pm for a game, with 2pm to 3pm for social time.

Have you visited the Walled Garden at Markeaton Park 😍

It is managed by the fabulous Friends of Markeaton Park and one of the team snapped these photos of the garden earlier this week in the sunshine ☀

The Walled Garden is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 12pm and Wednesdays 1pm-3pm for visitors and volunteers.

It may be tempting to cool off this weekend in open water but it is dangerous ⚠️

Even in warm weather, the water can be cold and undercurrents pose a risk. We're advising all to only enter the water at properly supervised sessions and never to enter the water alone.

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who have died
