We regularly receive concerns from the community around nuisance caused by riders on high powered surron bikes on the roads and sometimes pedestrianised areas within the neighbourhood. 🌳

These riders often have no regard for the safety of other road users including pedestrians.

They are illegal to be used on a public road or pavement. 🏍️

Your local SNT have sighted one of these bikes being ridden around the alleys close to Cromarty Close in Sinfin last week.

We have been able to get hold of the surron pictured, which may well have been sighted over the last few weeks being ridden around.

The rider has managed to make off on foot, although now will find themselves without the bike.

The bike has been seized and will be disposed of. ❌

We would welcome community information which may assist with identifying those who have been causing havoc in the local area with this bike.

| Appeal for information launched following series of attempted burglaries in Chellaston

We are appealing for information following a series of attempted burglaries in Chellaston.

Officers are investigating four incidents in which the doors/gates to properties, garages or vehicles have been interfered with in the early hours of Tuesday 1 September.

On each occasion the suspects are reported to have been wearing face coverings but nothing was stolen.

We are now appealing for any residents in the Lindale Way, Silverdale Close, Fellow Lands Way and surrounding streets who have CCTV or Ring doorbell footage between midnight and 5am on Tuesday 1 September and have not already spoken to officers to please come forward.

Anyone who can assist with our investigation is asked to contact us using one of the methods below and please quote incident number 26*526607.

🚓 Alvaston and Boulton SNT 🚓

Following a sighting of a motorbike on kiwi park, which had then been dumped in the woodlands.🏞️ 🌳

Officers attended the area, carried out a search of the woods and located the vehicle which was then recovered.

PC Moore previously worked in Long Eaton before moving to us here on Derby East,
He has over 9 years experience with Derbyshire Constabulary as a Police Officer! 🚔

PC Moore thoroughly enjoys his role and loves being able to engage with the community to discuss issues and concerns that are raised ✅

His favourite part of the job is being able to bring the criminals of Derbyshire to justice!
(He also loves a foot chase 🏃🏻 )

👮🏻‍♂️ Following the arrest made yesterday by our SNT officers👮🏻‍♂️

After receiving a call for service in relation to the male alleged to be in possession of a knife.

John Muldoon, 39 of Wilkins Drive, Derby has been charged with the following offences after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) ✅

-Threaten with a bladed article in a private place
- Criminal damage
- Possession of a bladed article

The male has been remanded to court this morning.

Today your local Safer Neighbourhood Team attended a reported incident of a male who was alleged to be in possession of a knife 🔪

Officers quickly arrived minutes after the call came in and located the male ⏰

Thanks to their quick work the male was subsequently arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, threats to kill and theft ❗

Enquiries around the incident remain ongoing.
A big thanks to our proactive officers 😊

🚓Alvaston and Boulton SNT🚓

Some of your local PCSOs have attended a Community Litter Pick around City Point.

It was nice to see the community coming together to help improve where they live🏡
It was also great to have Riverside Housing, local councillors, local residents and the Neighbourhood Team present too.

We look forward to continuing to work with our partners in the local community!😊

On Saturday 29th August, your Local Police SNT attended Great Northern Classics to engage with members of the public at their Jaguar car event, we spoke to many members of the public about things ranging from the problems they have in their local area to what to do if you believe your vehicle registration plate has been cloned, it was lovely to engage with the public and hope to speak to more people at future events!👮🏼‍♂️ 🚔 🙂

Mobile phone has been found outside Ascot Drive Police Station this afternoon by the enquiry office. 🚓

If this looks familiar and is your phone it will be kept here at Ascot Drive for you to come and collect. ✅

After receiving multiple calls about an abandoned moped on Wadebridge Grove Alvaston 🌳

The Safer Neighbourhood Team attended and found the moped propped up against a metal fence 🏍️

It is believed to of been ridden without insurance and involved in Anti Social Behaviour ❌

After being abandoned and unable to find the registered keeper of the vehicle it was seized and taken to a garage to be assessed 👍
