♻️ This week's update on how the Council has been making Derby greener, safer and more energy efficient 👇🏼

📅 Derby City Council is hosting a free, no-booking-required Future Ready Homes drop-in event at the QUAD arts centre in Derby Market Place on Thursday 5 November from 11am to 7pm.

Attendees can meet with council teams and expert partners to access free advice on reducing energy bills, exploring funding grants for home improvements, and discovering the latest eco-friendly home technologies. The event is open to all residents and landlords, who can also enjoy a warm welcome and complimentary hot drinks.

It's Flood Action Week, and we're certainly taking action!

Flooding can have a significant impact on communities, businesses and people's lives. Through OCOR, work is underway to improve flood protection along the river and help reduce flood risk across the city.

While the scheme is still being delivered, new flood walls, gates and a pumping station have already played a role in managing high river levels in the city centre.

Further phases of the project will bring additional flood protection to other areas in the years ahead.
