We’re proud to be taking part in Volunteers’ Week 2026 – marking 42 years of saying thank you to all volunteers across the UK for everything they do, and an extra special thanks to all of our amazing volunteers! 👏🏾

Without them, we wouldn't be able to provide support to parents in the perinatal period, so a huge thank you for your time, dedication and effort. 🤩

Have you heard about our Peer Supporter training?
Are you wondering what you might do once you've finished your training as a volunteer?

If you train with us, you could be:
🏠 visiting families in their homes
👶🏾 providing labour and birth support (non clinical)
☕ running parent and baby groups, like Bump to Babies and Dads’ Space
🤰 chatting to pregnant and new parents at Derby hospital on the pre and postnatal wards
🏥 supporting families at Derby neonatal unit (NICU)
💬 attending events in the community to talk to families about what Connected do

What's on tomorrow??

CNACELLED 10am - 12noon, Audrey Drive Bump to Babies - not on this week due to the hot weather - we'll be back next week!

7-9pm, Dads' Space - football and social just for dads.
A friendly game of football is from 7-8pm with County Community Trust (free for dads expecting a baby or with babies under 2 years old), followed by a social space with tea, coffee, biscuits, friendly chat and peer support.

Tea and Tots is this afternoon!
If you are in the Osmaston Allenton area and have a baby on the way, or have a baby or child under 5, pop along to the Family Hub! It's free to attend and you can just drop in.

What to expect:
- a friendly welcome from peer supporters
- tea, coffee, drinks and biscuits
- toys for little ones
- relaxed chat for parents

Cancelled this Thursday, due to the hot temperatures!

Bump to Babies at Audrey Drive Children's Centre is cancelled this week but don't worry, we'll be back next Thursday ready with the tea and biscuits!

Our Tea and Tots group is on this Wednesday as normal at Osmaston Allenton Family Hub :-)
