The Playtrail is a unique play & educational facility located within the grounds of Ardnashee School & College on the Racecourse Road, Derry. The facility incorporates a number of significant play facilities outdoor auditorium, straw bale house (EcoBase) and community allotment scheme. All facilities are linked by an accessible trail network. Managed by the Liberty Consortium, the facility hosts a

range of programmes & activities, is used as a venue for conference facilities and school visits. Our main funders are DFC, EA Youth Service, National Lottery Community Fund, Western H&SCT and BBC Children in Need.

Thanks to all the families who attended our Forest School session this week

We had so much fun using the ' Chomp' saw to create fairy houses- complete with living chia seed roofs 🏠

We had a brilliant Bio Blitz workshop this week with Gareth from Live Here Love Here and John & Sam from Coastal Kidz Television

We learned all about the pond life at The Playtrail and got to see some treasures from local waterways & beaches too.

We also learned about the importance of blue spaces, both big and small 🌎🌊

We all learned so much and had great fun 😊

Liberty Consortium Annual Celebration Event 💙

What an amazing day we had today at the Playtrail Amphitheatre as we celebrated the incredible young people who attend our day service, The HUB, and our evening service, BUD Club. 🎉

Today was all about celebrating achievements, showcasing the wonderful talents of our young people and recognising the amazing work our staff teams do every single day. 🌟👏

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today such a special and successful event. We’d also like to give a special mention to Calm’s Choir, ‘A Thyme to Sing’, for joining us and performing alongside The HUB Choir. 🎶💙 It was fantastic to see everyone come together and share their talents!
Another year comes to a close for The HUB and BUD Club, and what a year it has been! We are incredibly proud of all our young people and everything they have achieved.

Have a lovely summer break everyone, enjoy some well deserved time to relax and recharge, and we’ll see you all again in September! ☀️💙
