Another week of fun, celebrating birthdays, enjoying cake and spending time with friends at BUD Club 💙

Over the past five months, young people from BUD Club (Derry), Kids Together (Belfast), and New Lodge Youth Centre (Belfast) came together to create something special in partnership with "Thats Powerful" programme at the Playhouse.

They conceived, filmed, and shared their own story — a film reflecting their experiences, their friendships, and the strengths and opportunities within neurodiversity.

The film was launched on Saturday 18th April at the Nerve Centre as part of Autism Awareness Month. We were pleased to welcome Sinn Féin Councillor Ruairí McHugh, Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, who attended the launch and helped mark the occasion.

It was a meaningful day that recognised the time, creativity, and collaboration each young person brought to the project.

Thanks to everyone involved and Orion from thats Powerful project at the Playhouse.

A busy week of friendship, fun and outings for BUD Club 💙

Our members enjoyed Jo Jingles, dance & Hip-hop, cooking with their peers, engaging in lots of games and attending Energy of Light Disco in Millennium Forum 🎶
