Foyle Parents and Friends Association Registered Charity working with children, young people and adults with disabilities and their carers.

We have been in existence since 1963 and are one of the oldest voluntary organisations in Derry/Londonderry. We have no paid staff and are a completely voluntary organisation. We aim to look after the wellbeing of carers as well as offering services to the young people.

We are delighted to announce that COS has recently become Makaton friendly 😀!

We have been working alongside our tutor Ana who has provided training to our cos parents/carers and staff which has involved makaton tasters as well as level one makaton training. Soon, those who completed level one will be offered level two makaton training to help improve communication with their children and young people.

There will be more makaton training opportunities to come this year and next year for our families 🥰!

Please note that if anyone is going to Cullens Fair that they have a "Track & Trace" System in place before entering the fairground. If yous could have your personal details (name, address and contact number) written down would be much handier as they want to keep the queue down for everyone.

Cullens Amusements have been in touch with Mary O'Neill and have invited young people to the Amusements in Ebrington Square on Saturday 19th September from 10.30 am to 12 noon. Rides will be free if you wish to avail of this.
