❤️RESTART A HEART DAY - FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER❤️

🚨DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR NEAREST DEFIBRILLATOR IS?

When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, every second counts. For every minute without CPR and defibrillation, their chance of survival can fall by up to 10%.

That's why this Restart a Heart Day, we're encouraging everyone in our community to take a few minutes to learn how they could save a life.

📍DID YOU KNOW?

We have TWO defibrillators at Shantallow Community Centre!

🟢One inside the Centre available during opening hours.

🟢One outside the Centre publicly accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

❤️THREE THINGS YOU CAN DO TODAY:

✅FIND IT – Check where your nearest defibrillator is: https://www.defibfinder.uk/

✅LEARN IT – Learn lifesaving CPR in just 15 minutes with the British Heart Foundation's FREE online training: https://www.bhf.org.uk/revivr

✅SHARE IT – Tell your family, friends and neighbours where their nearest defibrillator is. That knowledge could save someone's life.

You don't need to be a medical professional to save a life. Anyone can learn CPR, and defibrillators are designed to guide you through using them.

🚨If someone collapses and isn't breathing normally, call 999, start CPR and get someone to bring a defibrillator.

A stronger community is a community that looks out for one another! ❤️

This Restart a Heart Day, on 16 October 2026, we are raising awareness of cardiac arrest and the importance of learning CPR. Learn to save a life today.
