📣 **RAISE YOUR VOICE – Engagement Workshops at Women’s Centre Derry**

Women’s Centre Derry, in partnership with WRDA, is hosting two free workshops exploring sexual harassment, consent, victim-blaming and how we can help create safer communities.

📅 **Monday 7 September | 10am–12pm**
**Sexual Harassment & Bystander Intervention**
Explore the links between everyday sexism, sexual harassment and gender-based violence, and learn **5 practical ways to intervene safely**.

📅 **Monday 14 September 2026 | 10am–12pm**
**Consent & Victim Blaming**
Explore what consent really means, sexual coercion, the impact of victim-blaming, how we can better support victims and survivors, and the role of the media.

These sessions are an opportunity to learn, discuss and build confidence in challenging behaviours that contribute to sexual harassment and gender-based violence.

💜 Women’s Centre Derry Staff Development Day 💜

A lovely afternoon spent together as a team at Brush and Banter 🎨🌸

Our staff, tutors and volunteers spend all year supporting, encouraging and empowering women and families across our community, so today was an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, spend time together and strengthen the team behind the work.

For our painting, we chose the silhouette of a woman to represent Béibhinn, who our Women’s Centre, Béibhinn House is named after.

The flowers surrounding her represent strength, growth and empowerment, but also the many different women who come through our doors and use our services, each unique, each with their own story, strengths and experiences, but stronger when we come together. 🌸🌺🌷

Although we all started with the same picture, every finished painting was completely different. a lovely reflection of our team too. We share the same purpose, but each person brings their own strengths, personality, experience and creativity to the Women’s Centre. 💜

A brilliant afternoon of team building, reflection, plenty of laughs and maybe a few hidden artists discovered along the way! 🎨😂🌷

Different women. Different stories. Stronger together. 💜

🌟 WE’RE RECRUITING – CRÈCHE / CHILDCARE STAFF 🌟

Would you like to join the Women’s Centre Derry team and help provide a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment for young children? 💜

We are currently recruiting for a Crèche / Childcare Staff position within our onsite crèche, working with children aged 0–4 years.

🕐 10 hours per week
Hours would look something like this but may be subject to change:
Mon: 9:30-12:30
Tue: 10:30-12:30
Thur: 9:30-12:30
Friday: 10:00-12:00

💷 £6,349 per annum

Essential:
• NVQ/Level 3 Childcare qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children in a formal setting
• Level 2 Maths
• Level 2 English

Desirable:
• Experience of working within the Community Sector
