๐Ÿšจ News Update ๐Ÿšจ

During a recent boat patrol on the River Foyle, Loughs Agency Fishery Officers seized two illegal fishing nets in the Backwater area, close to Strabane.

The seizure forms part of ongoing enforcement activity to protect fish stocks and ensure compliance with fisheries legislation across the Foyle catchment. Loughs Agency is committed to identifying, prosecuting and holding offenders fully accountable given the significant threat illegal fishing poses to fish stocks, biodiversity and the sustainability of our waterways.

Members of the public play a crucial role in helping officers prevent and deter illegal fishing. Report suspected activity on the water through the WaterWatch app: loom.ly/V2xnjQA
