Another achievement for the squadron this weekend, this time for two members of staff.

While assisting with the wing clay competition Flight Lieutenant Greaves and Flying Officer Manning were presented with their Cadet Forces Medels by deputy OC Wing Squadron Leader French.

The Cadet Forces Medel is awarded to Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers for 12 years efficient and dedicated service. Congratulations both!

This weekend the Squadron took part in the wing clay shooting competition, where we are delighted to say we came second! Well done to the team, and special mention to cadet Deaville, who was the second over all highest scorer with 20 hits, narrowly missing out on the top spot by 1 point.

A busy day for the squadron today as 3 cadets attended 11 AEF for air experience flying in the Grob Tutor T1. We even had some surprise visitors while we were there. Who can guess the aircraft?

Last weekend we teamed up with our friends 218 Rotherham Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets to help out at the Whickersley 10k, a fantastic event that raises money for the Sheffield Hospitals Charity. We even saw some familiar faces in the runners!

A truly fantastic morning at a brilliant event.

To all friends and family of 1325, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

A busy couple few weeks for the squadron. Last weekend we participated in the first sector six L144 training and shooting weekend where cadets from the squadron all successfully passed their trained shot.

We have also had exam success with cadets successfully passing leading, senior and master classifications.

Last but by no means least we were joined by our friends from 362 Elm Tree Squadron - Open Page for a local walk covering roughly 7.5 miles from Dinnington out to the former RAF Firbeck and then on to Roach Abbey then returning back to Dinnington. Where cadets practiced map reading skills as well as embracing the Christmas spirit!

Over the past couple of weekends the squadron has been honoured to assist the Dinnington and district RBL at the festival of remembrance and remembrance parade. Two of our most important events of the year.

We shall remember them.

A busy weekend for the squadron with cadets taking part in a day walk and clay shoot.

Saturday saw cadets put their navigation skills to the test with a local walk to the site of the former RAF Firbeck, where they learned about the history of the airfield and it's use in WWII and paid their respects.

Sunday cadets attended the wing clay shoot, putting their shooting skills to the test.

Today marked a milestone occasion for the Squadron, we marked the 40th anniversary of the squadron with the blessing of a new squadron banner. The service was conducted by our squadron padra Reverend Heyes and the wing padre Reverend Percival. The service was attended by Lady Neil, the deputy Lord Lieutenant for South Yorkshire, Squadron Leader French, Deputy OC South and West Yorkshire Wing and Squadron Leader Kirk OC Sector 3 along with other distinguished quests from the town council and Dinnington Branch Royal British Legion.

Flight Lieutenant Greaves OC Squadron said about the event ' I am honoured and privileged to be able to lead 1325 on this landmark anniversary. It is a testament to the cadets, past and present, that the squadron continues to thrive and grow. I am immensely proud of all the achievements the cadets and squadron continue to achieve. I look forward to the squadron being part of the community of Dinnington for the next 40 years'
