Following this week's power cuts, the EV chargers at the community centre carpark are currently out of action! 🚫
We are working hard to try and get a suitably qualified electrician out to fix them as soon as possible!
The closest public charger is Sainsbury's High Lane. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

It is with much sadness that Disley Parish Council informs residents that Diane Guy MBE has recently passed away. Diane's funeral will take place at St Mary's Church, Disley on Wednesday 24th June at 1pm.

In 2013 Diane was honoured with an MBE for services to the community in Disley over 30 years through Disley Parish Council, charity fundraising and community projects.

Diane was always to be seen out and about in the village talking with and advising local residents. She was a founding member and supporter of many groups in Disley including Disley Friends of Cancer Research, PRIDE (People Restoring and Improving the Disley Environment), the Disley Well-Dressing Group, the Ladies Luncheon Club, the Bowling Club, Disley and Lyme Horticultural Show and the History Society.

Diane was an active Disley Parish councillor for 28 years and received the Freedom of Disley in 2015 in recognition of her voluntary service to the village.

Cheshire East Council will be closing the A6 Buxton Road West on Thursday 11th June from 9:30am-2:30pm for surface dressing remedial works. 🚧

They will be doing the lining overnight on 27th June too.

Please plan accordingly and add some extra time for the journey!

A post from Cheshire East Council regarding the road surface in extreme temperature. 🌡️
They are aware of the situation on the A6.

🌡️ Due to the current high temperatures, road surfaces can soften, causing bitumen to rise – particularly on recently surface dressed areas.

If you see our gritters out, they’re applying specialist material to help protect affected surfaces and keep our network moving safely.

🔍 During the hot spell, we’ll be out inspecting recently laid sites.

⚠️ Surface dressing dates may be affected, as we’re unable to lay material during periods of high road surface temperatures.

Our fundraising coffee morning this Saturday helps keep the bus on the road, as a huge benefit to Disley residents. ☕
