Cleggs Cottage is a privately owned family holiday home on the Copeland islands.Originally it was a tenant farm inhabited by the Clegg family some of whoms relatives still live in Donaghadee,it is not for rent but all friends of the owner are welcome to visit anytime.

The "A" team over today for a bit of gardening, John Hamilton, Angela and their Grandson Xander who has all the makings of a good islander, getting stuck in straight away. The intention is to cut this part of the hedge right down so we can get some light on the gable wall and so the painter can access it.

Another wee daytrip, grass is cut and the electrician is putting in alarms to meet insurance requirements. Next job is the hedge, although I may put that off for a week or two as we have vistors coming at home.

I spotted a little wren and what i thought was a juvenile bird of some sort, grabbed my camera and stealthily went out to grab a pic, needless to say the wren and other bird had craftily got off side so i sat down to await the return of one or both of them. No show from both but in the meantime one of our residents figured i was worth a second look, Mr Robin posed perfectly on the lawnmower for a few snaps.
