UPDATE: Extensive activities in the search for the missing 11-year-old boy resumed in and around the River Don at first light this morning (1 June). Licensed police search officers, the underwater search team, and Mountain Rescue will continue water and land searches today.

We understand people are desperate to help but, for everyone's safety, we must ask that only those involved in our operation join the search. We are doing everything we can to find this young man but, if a member of the public was to get in to trouble whilst searching, we would need to pause our search to help.

Another stolen motorcycle recovered by your Mexborough Neighbourhood Team. This was located and seized from Sycamore Court, Mexborough.

This month we have conducted a Traffic Operation, conducted a warrant under the misuse of drugs act as well as taking part in Oeration Duxford and Spectre, all of which have been successful.

In Blaxton we executed a drugs warrant where we located 142 cannabis plants, enquires are ongoing to identify those responsible for it.

At the traffic operation in Edlington we worked alongside our Roads traffic policing team, our partners in DVLA and DVSA. In total we issued tickets for 18 different offences including No seatbelt, over weight vehicles and no insurance. 14 cars were seized and taken of the roads for a combination of no tax or insurance and 2 drivers were reported for offences directly to court.

Your Conisbrough Neighbourhood Team have been in your local communities for Operation Sceptre, which is a knife crime operation.

During this operation, we have been out and about conducting a variety of taskings, including pop up stalls, open land searches and high-visibility proactive patrols, among various others and this has been very well received.

Over the last few years, these operations has yielded some excellent results, including the recovery of various knives and bladed articles, as well as positive action taken against a number of people in possession of said articles.

We will continue to strive to keep out local street safe by reducing knife crime and working with schools to get this message over as early as possible, to children of impressionable ages.

Your Conisbrough/Denaby Neighbourhood Team have been out and about at key hotspot, speeding locations in your area. Over 200 vehicles were checked and relevant advice and warning has been issued.

Please consider your speed when driving in your vehicle. Staying within the speed limit and reducing further may be the difference between safe driving, a collision or causing a pedestrian/driver harm/serious injury/death.

Please, always be aware of your speed and potential dangers!

Your Mexborough Neighbourhood Team today conducted a successful warrant at a property on Grasmere Close, Mexborough.

A stolen red Honda motorbike was recovered, as well as a quantity of cannabis. A male has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods, possession with intent to supply and GBH.
