APPEAL: Image released as part of sexual assault investigation

We have released an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection to reports of a sexual assault in Doncaster.

It is reported that on 29 August, just after midnight, a woman was walking through Montagu Arms Hotel in Mexborough when a man has assaulted her by hitting her bottom.

We are keen to speak to the man in the image as we believe he can assist with our enquiries.

CHARGED: Man charged after disruption activity leads to drugs find

The Doncaster Fortify Team has charged a man with drug offences after a significant amount of Class drugs were found in a property.

Officers executed warrants at a property on Dunleary Road in Intake and during their searches found Class A drugs and prescribed drugs, plus equipment consistent with dealing drugs.

Mario Precup, 21 of Dunleary Road is charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A.

He is due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 8 October 2026.

APPEAL: Have you seen these stolen bikes?

We are appealing for information following reports of a burglary in Doncaster.

On Sunday 23 August at around 11.30am, it is reported a garage was broken into on Woodland View in the Mexborough area where three motorbikes were stolen.

The bikes taken during the burglary (pictured below) were a white Husqvarna, a black KTM and a black Sur-Ron.

If you have seen these bikes or been offered them for sale, or have any information about the burglary, we would like to hear from you.

Protecting waterfowl and wildlife from catapults 🦢

This week our officers have responded to reports of cygnets being shot at and injured.

We have also seen neighbouring police forces suffer the same tragic events.

As ‘Rural Crime Week’ continues across the country, we are urging everyone to be vigilant and report suspicious activity to us.

Killing and injuring wild birds is illegal and is covered by The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. This legislation makes it an offence to kill, injure or take any wild bird or take, damage or destroy the nest of a wild bird.

Anyone found guilty of these offences can be sentenced to six months in prison and face a fine of up to £5000.

Research highlights that those involved in using a catapult and ball bearings to injure animals are more likely to be youths- parents, we urge you to speak to your children if you suspect they are involved in this criminality or own equipment.

Carrying a catapult and ball bearings is not harmless fun, it can be deemed as an offensive weapon if officers suspect they are being used to injured people, animals or damage property.

Man arrested and warrants executed in connection with Mexborough assault

A man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Mexborough.

At 5.47pm on Monday 7 September, we were called to reports of a disturbance on Derwent Road.

It is reported a group of men with weapons attacked two men before stabbing one of them.

Emergency services attended and a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A number of weapons were recovered by officers in the aftermath of the incident and yesterday (10 September), six warrants were executed at addresses in Rotherham and Doncaster in connection with the incident.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and assault. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Officers are continuing to carry out enquiries in connection with the incident, and anyone with information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting incident number 712 of 7 September 2026.

Within the last few weeks we have been busy paroling the roads within the South of Doncaster. We have conducted speed operations in Rossington and Wadworth.

As a result of our patrols we recovered a stolen Motorbike that had been stolen in a Robbery a few days earlier. We also recovered a caravan within 24 hours of it being stolen. Both have been returned to their owners and enquiries are ongoing to locate the offenders.

DROP-IN SESSION: Rossington Community Drop-In Session next week

We will be opening the front desk at Rossington Police Station on Tuesday 8 September between 10am - 2pm, where residents from Rossington and the surrounding areas can come and meet the team and discuss any issues they have, as well as report any incidents to us.

PATROLS: Meet the NPT officers keeping you safe in Edlington 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️

Come rain or shine, PC Ellie Dobrzynski and PC Chris Cammack are in Edlington carrying out patrols, talking to residents and understanding more about the issues affecting you 🌧️☀️

They try to be as visible as possible in the local community and if you see them while they're out and about in Edlington, please speak to them about any concerns you have, as they would love to chat to you 💙

But if you can't see them in the community, don't worry. Just because you can't see them, it doesn't mean they're not there.

As well as visible patrols, your neighbourhood policing team officers carry out plain-clothed operations to target certain types of offenders with lots of work going on behind the scenes such as intelligence gathering, digital investigations and building case files against offenders to secure justice for victims.

Thank you for your ongoing support - the team looks forward to speaking to more of you while they're out and about in Edlington.
