A fabulous turnout this afternoon, thank you to all those who came along.

As Clerk I thoroughly enjoyed today seeing all the children playing, especially when I saw the double slide being used, a really lovely piece of equipment so friends and siblings can slide together! We hope everyone enjoys this fab new area to play.

A new closure for the gate, along with a fresh coat of paint for the fence and new bins will be installed in the coming weeks. Bins will be a priority and will hopefully be there next week!

A huge thanks again to NLC and SSE North Lincs Sustainable Development Fund for their generous funding that has allowed this to come to fruition!

Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday! Let’s hope the weather is kind to us!

The new park is almost ready. We are awaiting replacement of 2 panels damaged in transit and then the final safety inspection can take place.
All welcome to join us for the grand opening event after school next Friday!
The Parish Council will also be giving the original fencing a new coat of paint very soon.

At the recent NAT’s meeting (Neighbourhood Action Team) which was attend by Humberside Police, the issue of parking illegally on the pavements was discussed. The police have recognised the issue within the village and will be patrolling specifically to address this over the coming weeks. Please refrain from parking on pavements, verges and dangerous corners. Be aware that this forces people with pushchairs and young children, wheelchair uses and pedestrians into the road. This behaviour is irresponsible and dangerous and those of you parking in this illegal manner must stop. The police will be taking action so you have been warned!

New play area progress, it’s looking great! The new surfacing will soon be laid. Watch this space for the ‘Grand Opening’ date!
Please remind your young people to stay clear whilst construction is in progress, thank you.

Unfortunately the team constructing the new play area have reported some damage that has occurred whilst they have been off site during the evening.

This is very disappointing news considering what the Parish Council are trying to bring to the children in the village.

Please have a word with your young people, the area is fenced for a reason!

🎉 Great news for Wroot! 🎉

Wroot Parish Council have worked incredibly hard over the last 2 years, showing real determination and persistence to secure funding for a brand new village play area! 💚

Works will start as soon as possible, and the full plans and design layouts will be available to view at Wroot Feast this Saturday.

This is such an exciting step for our community, fantastic for kids, families, and for bringing even more life and togetherness to the village.

A huge well done and heartfelt thanks to our Clerk, for her extended efforts in securing the funding and pushing this forward every step of the way. 👏

Please come along at Wroot Feast this Saturday to have a look and share your thoughts! 🌳✨

In the meantime here is a very sneaky peak at a fraction of what’s going to be included!

Just a few of those to thank are;

NORTH LINCS COUNCIL COMMUNITY GRANTS AND THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FUND FOR FUNDING THE PROJECT

We would also like to thank Cllr. David Rose, Ward Councillor for his solid guidance as always.

Also to Lee Pitcher MP for his support and endorsement of the project.
