Over the coming weeks, we will be revisiting our Makaton signs to help build confidence and encourage their continued use at home and during sessions. 🤟 What is Makaton?
Makaton uses simple signs alongside talking to help children communicate — especially when they don’t have the words yet 💬✨
We use Makaton in our Family Hubs to help children feel understood 🤍, included 🌈 and more confident 💪. It supports speech, is easy to learn, and just a few signs can make a big difference at home 🏡
🌟 We’ll be sharing a Sign of the Week so you can join in at home too! Keep an eye on our page every Monday morning 👀💙

Remember, every child develops differently and some children with additional needs may need more support. Focus on progress, not perfection, and take things one step at a time 👣
