Mental Health Awareness Week Walk and Talk

On the 14th of May we'll be leading a walk around Central Doncaster from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. This is open to current clients and people who want to find out a little bit more about the support we offer at Doncaster Mind. The walk will be 2 to 3 miles long and we'll explore some of the city's green spaces (they really do exist).

Physical activity has lots of benefits for our mental and physical wellbeing. It can help with things like;
Managing stress
Improving sleep
Improving your mood
Improving confidence

There are a lot of benefits of being outdoors. Come along and find out!

The walk is an opportunity to find our more about what we do at Doncaster Mind and a way to connect with others and nature.

Want to join us? Please let us know you're coming along by emailing [email protected] or calling on 07928821854.

You’re not alone in finding it hard to talk about death and loss πŸ’›

This May, during Dying Matters Awareness Week (4-10 May), join our Specialist Palliative and End of Life Care Service at their β€˜Dying Matters Café’ β€” a safe, welcoming space for open and honest conversations about death, dying and bereavement, in whatever way feels right for you.

The team will be available between 10am and 2pm on the following dates:
β€’ Tuesday 5 May 2026 – Bassetlaw Hospital canteen
β€’ Wednesday 6 May 2026 – Montagu Hospital canteen
β€’ Thursday 7 May 2026 – Doncaster Royal Infirmary canteen

The service will be available to talk about topics such as how to start advance care planning, understanding ReSPECT forms, the importance of spiritual care and wellbeing, and how to access local bereavement support.
