Askern Air Cadets

Fostering the spirit of adventure... and making lifelong friends.
That was the theme of this weekend's Sector 4 Bronze Duke of Edinburgh weekend. 1384 Askern Sqn were joined by 23 South Elmsall Squadron ATC, 300 Isle of Axholme Squadron and 185 Batley Squadron - Royal Air Force Air Cadets for a mega DofE adventure.
24 cadets were out and about in the Wharfdale area facing the ultimate challenge together. Divided into 4 teams but united in the conquest of this unique experience.
All the typical DofE activities took place, get lost, being chased by farm animals, kissing frogs, and getting stuck in mud.
The cadets all had projects to carry out, carried everything they would need, cooked all their own meals and left the countryside with a new found respect.
We look forward to seeing you all on your Silver expedition adventure next year.

Thank you to all the volunteers who assisted to make this weekend a great success.
