We’ve cordoned off part of the trim trail play equipment at our playground because it has become unsafe to use. Unfortunately the damage is such that repairs cannot be carried out and the equipment will have to be replaced. We will provide an update as soon as we can. The rest of the playground is open as usual.

The contractor who carried out the recent repair and improvement works at Meadowbank Park playground returned to the site on Monday 5 August at our request following feedback we received that questioned the finish of some of the work undertaken. We would like to thank you for your continued patience and to those playground users who let us know that further action was required.

The contractor focused on the wooden elements of the repaired/replaced equipment reported to us and it is now comfortable for young visitors to touch and grip on to.

Unfortunately, the toilets in Meadowbank Park were vandalised once again and are now closed until repairs can be carried out. This mindless vandalism causes inconvenience for residents and visitors using the park and incurs significant unnecessary cost.

The case has been reported to Surrey Police and we’re working together to find the offenders. If you have seen anything and are able to provide us with more information, please contact the Police on 101 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111
