Our page is intend

ed for having conversations with the Mole Valley public. As such:

• Our page is always visible and looked at regularly

• Anyone can contact our page privately

• We do not delete posts on our timeline. However, our profanity filter is set to strong, and our page moderation automatically blocks posts that contain offensive language

• Sometimes we will hide (not delete) comments on posts that are intended to de-rail conversations away from the original subject matter. This means the comment isn’t visible to anyone except the person who posted it and their friends

• We very rarely have a need to block people from our page and will only do so after careful consideration

Are those you care for drinking enough water? Sometimes older people, especially those who have had a stroke or have dementia, have a reduced sensation of thirst. Try food with a high-water content - such as jelly and fruits.

🇬🇧 Chairman of MVDC, Councillor Simon Budd, raised the Armed Forces flag today to mark the beginning of Armed Forces Week leading to Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June. 🪖

👉 He was joined by Councillor Keira Vyvyan-Robinson and Councillor Andy Smith where the flag was raised following a short speech of appreciation for everyone who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets. 👍

ℹ️ Armed Forces Day marks the culmination of a week of celebrations, beginning on Monday 22 June, when the public show their support and appreciation for the Armed Forces community. It also includes Reserves Day (24 June), which provides the country with an opportunity to recognise our Reserve Forces. Learn more here: https://www.armedforcesday.org.uk

Very hot weather is forecast in Surrey this week.

Look out for symptoms of heat related illnesses in yourself and others during hot weather. If you or others feel dizzy, weak, sick or are intensely thirsty during hot weather, this may be heat exhaustion. Move to a cool place, rehydrate and cool your body down. Seek medical attention if you feel unusual symptoms or if symptoms persist.
