Fly-tipping costs us a considerable amount of council taxpayers' money to remove from Mole Valley’s roads and open spaces. The impact of unsightly rubbish and waste being illegally dumped in our countryside cannot be underestimated.

Our Be Proud of Mole Valley environmental campaign highlights the many ways in which residents, businesses, and visitors to the district can take action to report issues they may come across, including fly-tipping.

Along with many other second-hand shops, Surrey is also home to several Revive shops. These shops, located in a handful of our community recycling centres (CRCs), sell anything from crockery, tools and even bikes!

If you are bringing items to the CRC that could be reused, please tell a member of staff. If the items are suitable, they will be sold at one of our Revive shops https://orlo.uk/fxwQB ♻️

🤹‍♀️ Circular Dorking 1 - 10am-3pm Saturday 6th June - Dorking's 'Big Swap Switch Share' - featuring a plant swap, seed bank giveaway, storytelling, live music... plus much more!

🪡 Dorking Repair Café - 10.30am-1pm - Repair Cafe - bring along any broken items and learn how to fix them

🚮 Bookhams Residents' Association - 11am Sunday 7th June - Community litter pick - meet at lower Shott car park

🐝 Dorking Quakers - 2-4pm Sunday 7th June - Eco Hub - family-friendly nature-themed activities

🎬 Pippbrook House - 7.30pm Monday 8th June - screening of 'Wilding' - a heart-warming documentary drama which follows a pair of English farmers who take radical steps to reinvigorate the dying landscape

🎨 The Stockroom Society - 11am Saturday 13th June - The Big Family Make, a free family creative workshop taking inspiration from the Shell Bridge and River Mole

🌳 St Nicolas Church, Great Bookham - 10am-3pm Saturday 13 June - Sustainable Bookham Fair, with displays from FAB Repair Cafe and Plastic Free Bookham, creative writing and meditation using nature soundscapes

👗 Dorking Quakers - Sunday 13th June - Clothes Swap & Sale - refresh your wardrobe, the sustainable way

Save money and ensure your DIY waste ends up in the right place.

Up to two 50-litre rubble bags or one large item no larger than 2m x 0.75m x 0.7m per household will be accepted for free at either the Dorking or Leatherhead Community Recycling Centres - or tips - at a maximum frequency of four visits over four weeks.

Anything over and above this this will be chargeable.
