Well said June.
I am devastated by poor Ann being murdered. She was a fighter for old Britain.
I am so honoured I knew my Grandparents and Great Uncles very well. These people were polite, hardworking, decent people with British stiff upper lips.
Only between themselves would they mention their war experiences over a hand of cards when the children were in bed
(or listening at the top of the stairs). Grandad a Brit in the Canadian Army, a Driver during D day. My Great Uncle a Chindiz in Burma I think.
My husband's father one of the first ever Marine Commandos. His Uncle KIA as a Lancaster rear gunner aged just 20.
My mother was born in Kent during the Battle for Britain. And all my Nan said about it was quips about diving under the kitchen table! Everyone was Mister or Missus even good neighbours.
I miss them dreadfully and now poor Anne.
We must Restore Britain.
'Give a man a why and he can withstand any how'.
You know the WHY.....
