August brings thoughts of beach days, ice creams and summer holidays!

Here at Kearsney Parks, we're celebrating new life and are delighted to share this beautiful photograph of two Mallard ducklings, captured by local resident Sammy Wall for the Calendar.

Have you spotted any ducklings on your visit to the park this summer? 🦆☀️

A range of refurbishment works are being carried out on the bridges in Russell Gardens from Monday 10 August - the works, on the two Victorian bridges and the boathouse at the pond, are set to take around 15 weeks to complete.
The bridges will need to be fenced off while the works are undertaken, but the park remains open and there will still be access to the grounds and the play area in Russell Gardens. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.

📅 It’s the 1 July and as we turn to the next page of the calendar, we welcome a glorious photograph of the Grey Heron in flight, skilfully captured by local photographer, Paul Yardley.

🪺 Herons nest in colonies called 'Heronries', often in the top of trees, and are regularly spotted in the river looking for their next meal!
