We're very pleased to welcome back Xen Arts to Downham Market Library on Tuesday 8 September - 11am - 12 noon for a FREE session of creative movement and play with your little one! 🤸‍♂️

Explore baby's first movements through uplifting music, sensory props and joyful play, while giving parents a much needed chance to stretch and release tired, achy muscles.

We welcome all parents, carers and their young pre-school children to attend - perfect for fans of Bounce and Rhyme 👶👧

The Making it Real Board is an independent group made up of disabled people and unpaid carers, who have lived experience of adult social care in Norfolk.

The Real Care Deal is:
Norfolk’s promise to treat people with kindness, honesty, and respect.

🌞📚 Summer Reading Challenge 📚🌞

How are you getting on with your Reading Challenge? Don't forget children can collect a sticker for every book they read or challenge they complete!
Any everyone who completes the challenge gets a medal and certificate!

If you haven't had chance to sign up yet there's still time! And don't worry if reading 6 books seems too daunting - there's lots of ways to complete the challenge this year! 🥇
Here's how it works:

🎵 Sign up at the library during staffed hours – you’ll receive a special Read To The Beat collector’s booklet and a Storytime magazine.

🎵 Choose your books – storybooks, fact books, comics, audiobooks, or eBooks – anything goes!

🎵 Read at least six books over the summer or set your own reading goal (anything from reading a book by a new author, to attending a library event!)

🎵 Visit the library to collect a sticker for every book you finish or goal you complete.

🎵 Complete the challenge and earn your medal & certificate to celebrate your achievement! 🥇

Plus there's even a mini-challenge for pre-schoolers, with their own packs and stickers (no medal for them as it's too small, but you still get the certificate, so that's nice).

Come to the library to sign up, pick your books, and start your Read To The Beat adventure today! 📚
