Now this is some !

The Galeón Andalucía was built by the Fundación Nao Victoria in Punta Umbría (Andalusia, Spain) out of iroko and pine wood and is currently in Warrenpoint for the weekend!

Have any of you ever travelled on the McAnulty's buses?

The building has certainly gone through some changes in life.

The Belfast Banking Company opened their branch in Warrenpoint in 1914. In 1970 the branch was rebranded as Northern Bank (Belfast Bank Branch). Danske Bank trading as Northern Bank closed the branch in 2013 and now the property has been refurbished for other purposes.

DID YOU KNOW?

June 15th is considered Beer Day in the UK and NMD has some interesting items in the collection connected to some fun to be had at the local pubs.

First we have a "Free Pass" Card for Ye Olde Bar in Newcastle from Down County Museum

We also have a photo of the Old Doyle's Bar float taking part in the parade in Camlough as part of the South Armagh Festival in 1984.

Newry and Mourne Museum is back with

The Museum was excited to welcome members of the Bangor Deaf OAP group for a tour around the museum.

The Museum has also opened the remaining galleries as operations return to normal so be sure to visit next week to see what exciting events the museum has planned

We're sure so many people have fond memories of their walks in this area. Maybe some of you have seen a vintage car show or have camped in the area...perhaps some of the younger ones have visited Narnia 🦁
