A very special assembly focusing on safeguarding. The children heard a story called the ‘Tell-Me tree’ about talking to trusted adults. We also shared that Mrs Mailey is our school Designated teacher and Mr Watson is our Deputy Designated teacher. We also have our Governor support from Sarah Stewart. As part of our assembly Miss Bennett unveiled the new Cedar superhero certificates and we had 5 winners across the school who represented the values of compassion, equality, determination, aspiration and responsibility!

Tickets are selling fast for the IEF's Comedy Night, which will take place on Thursday 08 October in the Ulster Hall. Top comics Colin Murphy, Tim McGarry, Emer Maguire and Dave Elliott will take to the stage for an evening of fun and frolics, all in aid of Integrated Education.

Mrs Ballard enjoyed seeing the independence of P3 taking part in their ABL session today. The children were working on alphabet letters, capitals ( and keyboard skills), writing positive affirmations , maths games and STEM challenges. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing team of assistants at Cedar! This week they were developing nurture resources as they commence this support for our children. Activities such as managing anxiety, regulation, confidence, self-esteem, social skills …. And most importantly that wonderful chance for our pupils to spend quality time with adults as part of our commitment to the ‘Relate’ aspect of nurture!
