Official Humberside & South Yorkshire Army Cadet Force For action adventure, fun and friendship, the ACF is hard to beat. For action adventure, fun and friendship, the Army Cadet Force (ACF) is hard to beat.

We provide our young people with the skills they need to become good citizens by developing:

•self-confidence
•communication skills
•leadership and team-building Humberside and South Yorkshire ACF has around 1600 cadets and 230 adult volunteers spread across 52 detachments, from Bridlington in the North East to Sheffield in the South West and Cleethorpes in the East. The ACF welcomes boys and

girls from the age of 12 (and at least in year eight at school), of all abilities and backgrounds, and through a broad range of exciting, challenging, educational and adventurous activities, help young people develop physically, mentally and socially. Some of our activities have a military theme; others have more of a community focus. This combination enables us to offer our young people a unique blend of personal development opportunities all designed to promote fun and friendship while also helping them prepare for success in their chosen path in life.

🥾 Cleveland Way COMPLETE! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Padre Jackson, who has completed his charity walk along the Cleveland Way! 👏

It certainly wasn’t plain sailing, the weather forced him to stop on several occasions, but he persevered and made it to the finish line. 🌧️🥾

And what a result — just over £1,400 raised for ACCT UK and Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice! ❤️

A massive well done to Padre Jackson for completing the challenge, and a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported him along the way.

Update

The extreme heat has unfortunately returned, meaning Padre Jackson’s Cleveland Way walk has once again been paused by the Commandant.

But there’s plenty to celebrate — Padre has already made it as far as Saltburn-by-the-Sea, covering almost half of the 109-mile Cleveland Way! 👣

Padre Jackson will recommence from his previous stopping point once conditions are safe to do so.
