Would anyone like some beautiful Bull Meadow bull rushes? They can be cut to order and make a lovely display. They are perfect now but within a few weeks will have to be removed before they go to seed and become too dense for the pond.
Please let us know if you would like some in exchange for a small donation for Bull Meadow.

Thank you everyone who made Fun on The Brum happen and be so successful on Saturday afternoon. There was a greater variety of local small businesses represented than ever before, with everything from games to play to food, crafts and toys. The ice-cream man didn’t get a break and all this to the melodic backdrop of West Mercia Police Brass Band. Pat, our PCSO, arrived in a police car and children were able to activate the sirens while our elected representatives Dan, Nic and Seb managed to fit us into their busy schedule for almost an hour and a half, as a human fruit machine. With teas, burgers, samosas, brownies ice creams and even chews for dogs, there was something for every member of the family. And even the weather was smiling on us. Thank you all for coming!

Free entry - all good fun - see you there!

Please bring your friends and family to Fun on the Brum, Fernhill Heath, this Saturday. A great afternoon out for everyone and a good time to meet up with friends old and new. All the money raised will be divided between St Richards Hospice and the Air Ambulance. Don’t forget to bring cash as only a couple of stalls and the ice cream van have card machines.

I’ve just seen a pair of red kites swooping over the field at the top of Sling Lane, Hindlip School’s playing field. Has anyone else seen any in the village?

I live in Sling Lane - the house with the weathervane. In addition to my neighbour finding a grounded bat at my gate this morning (waiting for an expert to help) a tortoise has now arrived at my gate! I'm sure someone must be missing it. It has one very distinguishing feature so if it's yours please identify it and come and collect. It is safely in a dog carrier with water and shortly some fruit...

A large group of youngsters on the Brum on Monday afternoon thought it was ‘fun’ to destroy a £12,000 piece of inclusive play equipment. Sadly it is too damaged to be repaired. If you know any of the youngsters involved, or have any dashcam or doorbell footage, please let us know in confidence, as we know there were several people in the park between 3-5pm. To those of you visiting the play area we are sorry this is missing and there is unsightly fencing there - a necessity for safety.
