On Friday Ben and Steph completed all 31 miles of the Worcestershire Way for St Richard's Hospice, raising an amazing £790! It was tough going and very warm, taking a total of 13 hours, 2300m elevation and over 70,000 steps. Well done, what an amazing achievement!

We’re giving a shoutout to Ben and Steph from AA Salt Services Ltd who are busy training for our Worcestershire Way Walk on Friday, 3 July.

They’re taking on the 31-mile challenge in the businesses twenty-fifth year, where they’re aiming to complete 25 acts of kindness.

St Richard’s holds a special place in Ben’s heart as his grandmother, Jeannie Young, was one of our hospice founders and a trustee for many years.

Ben said: “The hospice means a lot to my family and my Mum has taken on many fundraising challenges over the years. So, it feels like my time to lace up my walking boots for St Richard’s.

“We’ve worked out it should take us approximately 13 hours to walk the full Worcestershire Way. We've been promised morning coffee and homemade cakes, a delicious buffet lunch and a pub at the finish line, which should keep us going!”

As part of our 25 years in business celebrations we sponsored Becky Cooke and her team in this year’s legendary Himley Dragon Boat Race. They helped raise an amazing £12,000 for Dudley Group NHS Charity

Organised by the Rotary Club of Wolverhampton, the event brought together nearly 40 teams for a fantastic day of fundraising, teamwork and community spirit, including five boats made up of The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust staff 👏 Well done all!

OPERATIONAL UPDATE!

We're pleased to announce Laura's promotion from Operations Manager to Operations Director taking on a strategic role in supporting the board through the next stage of growth.

Laura has been with us for 5 years and has managed our operational growth as well as leading major projects of digital modernisation and risk management making us more robust and efficient than ever. She manages over 50 staff and hundreds of subcontractors to the highest possible standards.

AA Salt provides winter maintenance for thousands of sites across Great Britain from car parks to major hospitals and everything in between for facilities managers, commercial land managers and grounds maintenance companies.
