It is important that fire extinguishers are kept in a safe condition with regular servicing. If they are going to be kept outside it is important that they are placed in a proper fire extinguisher cabinet to keep them dry. Here is one we found recently while servicing fire extinguishers in Hampshire. As you can see it has some slight corrosion!

⚡️Our client was using temporary portable heaters while their usual heating system was down. The office space was so large that the temperature never hit the thermostat threshold, meaning that they were running at full power for hours on end. This is the result and could have caused a nasty fire if not caught in time.

A micro-brewery and pub chain breached four of the Fire Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Orders 2005, including:

- Failure to take general fire precautions
- Failure to ensure adequate fire safety arrangements
- Failure to ensure adequate fire detection and fire-fighting equipment
- Failure to ensure adequate emergency escape routes and exits

As a result, the court issued a fine of £120,000 and £12,226 in costs with a £110 victim surcharge.
