☠️👰 PIRATE AND PRINCESS DAY 2026👰☠️
🖤Baby room
Today was Pirate and Princess day🏴☠️👸. Some of us even came dressed up in Pirate and Princess costumes! This morning the knights were rescuing the Princess in her castle the Pirates were on a hunt for treasure in the deep blue sea🪙🏰. Then this afternoon we designed our own pirate flags 🦜☠️. We had so much fun!
🖤 Waddler room
The waddlers made their own treasure maps we enjoyed mark making and letting our pirate friends know where to go to find the treasure. Together the waddlers worked very hard to find all the treasure that was hiding in our sand tray we even let the small world figures get involved. The waddlers also took turns looking through the telescope and we looked at all the gems that the pirates left behind in the waddler room.
The waddlers enjoyed making their own pirate flags and princess crowns, we used collage to stick onto both the flags and the crowns. The waddlers were listening to princess music while being very creative. Happy pirate and princess day waddlers! 😊
🖤 Toddler room
Today for pirate and princess day, the children and staff took part in dressing up as pirates or princesses.
During an activity relating to the theme, the children each chose which hat they wanted to make, a pirate hat or a princess crown. They used different materials and colours to decorate, making them their own. The children spoke to each other about what their favourite colours were with some of them being 'pink' 'blue' 'orange' and 'green'.
At circle time we read "playschool pirates" and spoke about the outfits the children in the book were wearing as well as our own pirate and princess outfits.
