Change of plans for Thursday? Children starting to climb the walls? Dust off your child’s favorite teddy bear and bring them down to The Magic Burrow tomorrow for a special pop-up picnic!

We are turning our sensory space into a magical picnic forest tomorrow for 3 exclusive sessions only.

✨ What’s included✨
* Staff led storytime
* Puppet show
* Teddy bears picnic with FREE mini picnic basket for each child (and their bear!)
* Themed arts, crafts and messy play.
* A relaxed space for parents to grab a drink while the bears explore.

How to help a child who fidgets, has lots of energy or cannot sit still❓

This video breaks down the question " What is a sensory circuit" and helps you to implement it at home to support your child's sensory regulation.

Remember the 3 stages:

1. Alerting (big movements)
2. Organizing (more focused movements that require mind and body connection)
3. Calming (such as deep pressure)

WHAT'S ON TODAY:

10:00-11:30: Little Burrowers (0-5)
A session just for our youngest visitors. Think taste safe messy play, arts and crafts, puppet shows, parachute games and more! It's a perfect way for babies, toddlers and younger children to explore without the worry of older kids.

11:45-13:15: Stay and Play (0-17)
A general open play session for all. This is perfect for those wanting to explore the forest at their own pace. With no structured activities, it allows children to lead their own play. Staff bounce off children's interests often leading to games of hide and seek, craft activities, dress up role play games and more! Our afternoon slots are typically quieter for those who play best without a crowd.

13:30-15:00: Stay and Play (0-17)

15:30-17:00: After School Open Play (0-17)
The perfect session for some after school fun and activities. Come straight from school and get those wiggles out! Children can lead their own play with staff once again bouncing off their interests. The sensory room is often a popular part of this session with many children using the trampoline and spinning chair to shake off the stress of the school day.

17:15-18:15: Bedtime Winddown (0-17)
This session is the perfect way to end the day. Come in pjs/ comfy clothes, have a nice warm drink and an optional storytime and calming parachute games. This session is shorter, cheaper and perfect timing to get in some late night regulation before the at home bedtime routine. It's a great way for children to start to winddown and get thoss last wiggles out to promote a smoother bedtime.

Oh our hearts... this morning was pure magic! 🥹🎭🪵

We treated our little burrowers to a surprise puppet show during our morning session and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Hearing them all giggling and shouting "He’s behind you!" and "Where has he gone?!" is exactly why we love what we do.

This is what play should feel like. No massive crowds, no overwhelming noise—just a cozy, intimate space where kids can let their imaginations run wild and parents can actually relax with a hot drink and enjoy the moment ☕✨
