Community Wood Bank - Winter Firewood

GURCA is happy to offer collection of firewood again this year.
The Wood Bank, in Blairbeg Wood opposite the Parish Church, will be open for uplifts from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 7th November.
Craigmonie Woodland Association volunteers will be on hand to assist.
Thanks to the support of Cobbs Bakery, we have plenty bags, and the wood has been generously donated by the Woodland Trust.
As with last year, we will restrict this uplift to 2 bags per household: There will be a further chance to top up in January.

For those unable to travel to the wood bank, we can again arrange delivery of a bag before Chirstmas. If you wish to receive a bag and haven't in previous years, please provide name and address details to [email protected]

The Wood Bank is managed by GURCA, with the support of Craigmonie Woodland Association. The uplift is free, but if you do wish to make a donation, this will support the work of Craigmonie Woodland Association in looking after our precious woodlands and village trees.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to last evening’s litter pick. 💚
Your time, energy and willingness to get stuck in really do make a visible difference to our village.
Every bag collected is one less left in our streets, paths and green spaces, I am very grateful to everyone who gave up part of their evening to help. Next pick, 4pm on Thursday 1st of October.
