Great assembly this morning, largely spent celebrating the achievements of many of our pupils outwith school. We thought it would be nice to share with the wider community, so have attached here.

It was also a great moment to present our newly minted batch of Bus Monitors with their badges in front of their peers. These are pupils chosen for the leadership potential and this gives them a chance to develop their leadership skills, hone their sense of responsibility and continue to grow their feelings of community spirit.

Tomorrow morning there is an assembly for all BGE pupils in the first half of period 1 and for all senior pupils in the second half.

But even more exciting (if you can believe it) is that the S6 Prefects will be holding a bake sale next Wednesday. Please come in that day with a fistful of coins and an appetite for cakes - half the money raised will be going towards the funds for the Christmas Dance.

Thanks to the generosity of our pupils we managed to raise £83.05 this morning for the charity Mikeysline with our first Dress Down Friday of this school year.

Next Dress Down Friday will be 25th Sep. - we'll be collecting for a charity on this date too.

Thanks to our Prefects Keane and Hayley for supporting at the doors (and with card reader technology!) this morning.

Good Morning,
This post is purely to inform you of an orienteering event taking place within our community.
Iain Harding is helping Inverness orienteering club to organise an event at Guisachan near Tomich on Sunday 6 September. If you would be interested in taking part then more information can be found here: https://invoc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/Affric-Details.pdf. Entries are open until the end of this Saturday.

This Friday is the last Friday of the month, which means (much like Glenurquhart Primary) it is Dress Down Friday - smart casual clothes please.

We will also use this as a chance to raise money for a local charity so a voluntary donation of £1 if you choose to dress down would be hugely appreciated - all funds raised this month will go to Mikeysline.
