What a lovely surprise visit we had today!

We were delighted to welcome Steven Keddy, who is visiting Loch Ness from America. He stopped by the Loch Ness Experience to see our artefacts connected to his uncle, renowned Nessie researcher Robert Rines.

It was a pleasure to show Steven some of the Robert Rines memorabilia on display, along with one of the newest items in our collection – the Gargoyle Head, famously photographed by Robert in Loch Ness back in June 1975. 📸🌊

It was wonderful to share these fascinating pieces of Loch Ness history with a member of Robert Rines’ family. 💙

Some moments are especially meaningful here at the Loch Ness Experience, and this weekend was certainly one of them. We were honoured to welcome the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the legendary Tim Dinsdale, whose passion for solving the mystery of Loch Ness helped shape the story we continue to share today.

After capturing his famous footage of an unexplained object on the loch on 23 April 1960, Tim dedicated the next 27 years to the search for Nessie, leading an incredible 57 expeditions. In 1962, he also co-founded the Loch Ness Phenomena Investigation Bureau, bringing together researchers from around the world to study the mystery.

One year ago, we unveiled our Nessie sculpture, and what a year it's been! 💙

Since then, thousands of visitors have tied colourful ribbons to the sculpture, sharing their verdict on the mystery of Loch Ness. Are you Team Nessie, Possibilities, or Nonsense?

The results are in, and belief is still going strong:
💙 47% believe in Nessie
💚 30% think it's possible
🧡 23% remain unconvinced

Every visitor gets the chance to cast their vote at the end of the tour, and it's fascinating to see how opinions continue to evolve.
