CHRISTMAS IS MAGICAL… UNTIL SOMETHING CATCHES FIRE.
Every year, right across the UK, we see a spike in accidental fires over the Christmas period — overloaded sockets, dry Christmas trees, candles left burning, cooking chaos in the kitchen, wood burners working overtime… you name it, someone’s probably set fire to it already.
And the worst bit?
Most of these fires start small. Small enough to stop… if you’ve actually got the right kit to hand.
That’s why I keep banging on about the Fire Safety Stick.
It’s lightweight, no pressure, no mess, no annual servicing, and absolutely anyone can use it. If a little flame kicks off in the kitchen, near the tree, in the lounge, or around the wood burner, you just pop the pin, point, and let it do its thing. No white foam everywhere. No toxic residue. No panic wrestle with a traditional extinguisher you haven’t touched since 2009.
Honestly — if there’s one simple thing that could save your house (and Christmas), this is it.
• Keep it next to the tree.
• Keep one in the kitchen.
• Keep one by the wood burner.
Let’s get through December without inviting the fire brigade round for mince pies.
If you want one or need advice on which size suits your home, give me a shout.
