Welcome to the second edition of our Getting Involved newsletter! The newsletter will be produced quarterly from April 2026, including updates, success stories, new opportunities, and how we are supporting meaningful engagement across the borough.

The Tenant Engagement Team is the central point for customers to get involved in the Housing service in an inclusive way that suits their circumstances, to ensure that Housing customers can have an active role in shaping the services we provide.

The goal posts were removed from Kent Road Park during the pandemic.

This consultation is your opportunity to give your views and opinions on the proposed placement of the pitch along with any other comments. We have put together a plan and would like you to vote on these proposals.

There will be a consultation event in the park on Saturday 9th May, 11am to 2pm.

Please note we will only accept one submission per household. Only comments relevant to this survey will be accepted.

This year we are changing it up a little. Its a trail to find the clues, pick up your map from Beech Tree Miners , Wollescote, walk around the local area ( not to far ) then return your map with answers to get your Easter egg. there will be a singer, bingo, games and more from 12pm on-wards

The rents of Council managed homes has been proposed to increase by 4.8% from Monday 6th April 2026.

4 weeks’ notice is required for rent changes and formal notification of the intention to increase your weekly rent will be sent by letter.

We are holding ‘drop in’ sessions across the borough, for Tenants to come and discuss any issues you have regarding the rent increase. Come along any time within the session time but please be aware, not all locations can accommodate waiting to be seen inside the building.

❄️Our gritters have been out yesterday and overnight treating more than 600km of the borough’s roads. They are out again this morning treating the higher points within the borough.

For more information on gritting and to check which roads are gritted see comments below ⬇️

🚗Please take extra care if you are out on the roads today.

🗑️Our teams will be out today collecting any missed waste and recycling collections from Friday and Saturday, along with collections due today.
Please leave your bin, black box and recycling bags kerbside for us to collect.
