❗An extreme red heat health alert is in place from 9am today (24 June) to 9pm Thursday (25 June) - only the second ever issued in the UK.
Please take extra care in the heat and check on family, neighbours and anyone more vulnerable.
Know the signs:
Feeling dizzy, unwell, very thirsty or getting muscle cramps could be heat exhaustion.
➡️ Rest in a cool place, drink water and try to cool down.
If symptoms don’t improve after 30 minutes, this could become heatstroke (a medical emergency). Look out for things like high temperature, confusion, no sweating or heavy breathing.
📞 Call NHS 111 if you’re still unwell
🚨 Call 999 in an emergency
