Dudley Labour Group is deeply concerned by Ofsted’s judgement that Children’s Services have been assessed as inadequate. Vulnerable children have been let down.
Every child and family in our borough deserves safe, stable and effective services, with every child given the support they need to thrive and the best possible start in life.
We will continue to hold the Conservative administration to account, while working constructively to ensure these services improve rapidly and sustainably.
Children’s safety and wellbeing must always come first. The focus now must be on urgent action, accountability and delivering lasting improvements for children and families across the Borough.
Dudley’s disastrous Ofsted report highlights a number of failings which led to a grade of ‘inadequate’ for children’s services.
