Labour has always stood in solidarity with people who are oppressed and persecuted because of who they are.

At noon today, members of Dudley Labour Group joined colleagues as our Borough raised the rainbow flag above the Council House in recognition of International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia on Sunday. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

As the dust settles on this year’s local election campaign, we send our sincere thanks to the thousands of people who voted Labour across the Dudley Borough.

We acknowledge that the results in the majority of electoral wards were disappointing for the Labour Party and sadly a number of dedicated local Labour councillors have lost their seats.

We are now a group of 15 and we re-commit ourselves to standing up for our communities and vehemently holding to account the controlling group at Dudley Council.

We love Dudley and we’ll continue to fight to make our Borough a better place to live, work and visit. 🌹
