New arrival on station, Last week we took delivery of our new Training Tower.
We have been without a useable tower for many years, so this is going to be great for the station to be able to hone our ladder drills and Safe working at height training.
We cannot wait to start using it.

Devon and Somerset are incredibly dry, which means one tiny spark from a BBQ or open fire could quickly become a major wildfire.

Please swap a BBQ for a picnic instead 🧺 Our firefighters will be quietly cheering you on from afar.

Although the has ended for now, we are still under a VERY HIGH wildfire risk. With tinder dry conditions and a small breeze, any small fires can develop quickly. In recent days we have seen bonfires leading to developing fires. Please don't light bonfires during this continuing dry spell, the embers from these can rise up into the air and land on tinder dry ground igniting the surrounding area in seconds.

No BBQs, No camping fires, and take your glass bottles home!

An amber heat alert has been issued by UK Health Security Agency for our region for the coming days ahead. Please take care of those vulnerable in your community.

With grass, crops and moorland very dry please reduce the 🔥 wildfire risk.

Our waterways 💧 are still cold so be careful if using inland water areas.

UV levels 🌞 are high remember to use sunscreen, hydrate throughout the day.

Using our roads or travelling? 🛣 prepare your journey and have snacks and water available in the car for those unexpected delays, and take regular breaks to relax and reduce fatigue.
