West Dunbartonshire Council Tenant Participation Tenant participation is about involving local tenants and residents in local decision making in WDC

We are committed to providing tenants with good quality housing services by fully involving tenants in developing and influencing how services are provided. We provide a range of opportunities to get involved and you can choose what suits your circumstances. There are consultation surveys, local Tenant & Resident Associations, WD Scrutiny Panel , Joint Rent Group, Sheltered Housing Forum, regular

meetings between tenant representatives, Housing Managers and the Housing Convener to name a few. Or keep up to date with our FB page and Housing news our quarterly newsletter .

First Repair Café on this Saturday 29 August, 10am – 1pm at Dalmuir Barclay Church. If you have have something that needs fixed, take it along and they will do their best to get it sorted. Free craft activities for kids and community cafe open too. Repairs are free but donations are welcomed to support the next event.

Great to see a new initiative in the Living Room at Dalmuir Community Cafe. - Alternatives are putting on a Food & Mood wellbeing session on Thursday 17th September 1pm until 3pm. It’s a small venue so places are limited and you'll need to get in quick to book a space. Booking details are below.

Who knew there was a Tree of the Year competition ? - well there is and a 200-year-old Ash tree in Balloch Park has been nominated for the Woodland Trust's Tree of the Year 2026 competition. Voting and info on the other nominated trees are on the Woodland Trust's website below:

This year’s Tree of the Year contest celebrates trees that are still standing strong against the odds. Choose your favourite and vote by 29 September.
