The Abbot's Tower

The Abbot's Tower 16th century Scottish Castle 🏰 Abbot's Tower is a restored 16th Century Tower House designed in Scottish Renaissance style.

Built in c.1580 at the time of the Scottish Reformation and was once occupied by the last Abbot of the famous Sweetheart Abbey. The ruins of the Abbey are open to the public and are a short walk from the Tower in the pretty conservation village of New Abbey with its pub, shop, corn mill and tea room. The Abbot's Tower has two original and glamorous suites, both with their own unique charm, luxury and good deal of quirk. Each suite occupies just two guests and are not suitable for children.

Ossian has returned to us and we have been working with him over the winter. Now the weather has settled we have been able to get out a bit more. A hack today taking in The Abbot's Tower. Ossian and his dam Clover of Mendick looking quite at home in the driveway.
