Sarah from Stranraer Library attended Glenluce Primary School to carry out a Heritage visit. We focussed on the history of Glenluce and used photos from our collection, Valuation Rolls, School Attendance records and School Logs. We used these to find out information on houses, to look at Glenluce main street from years ago and look up information on Glenluce Academy and it’s pupils.

We had a wonderful time, thank you for having us 😊

We've had a lovely afternoon at our new Tuesday Bookbug Session at Lochthorn Library 🌞🌈
There's been lots of clapping, singing and giggling from everyone, and we can't wait to see you all for more of the same next week 💛

🎬Aaaand that's a wrap for this year's Bookbug Week in D & G Libraries. 🎬

😍😍We've been on Bookbug's Big Quest in libraries all over the region and we wanted to share with you some of the happy faces we've seen this week! From Stranraer to Lockerbie, and loads of places in between, we had so much fun with sessions and displays to celebrate. 😍😍

Dalry Library has an unusual visitor today!
We are playing host to a Wooden Sculpture touring the Glenkens for the afternoon. She will be put in her permanent home on the 31st of May at the top of Waterside Hill, along the Southern Upland Way where she will greet walkers and invite them to take a seat!
The sculpture was commissioned by D & G Woodlands.
