🏟️🌰🏆 👏The Final of the Belhaven Conker Championships!: We started with 32 competitors and after a series of heats only five came to the walled garden to draw their heats for the final: Patrick, Desi, Reuben, Toby and David. To avoid contention they also randomly selected a conker and the last matches started. Gosh - it was very tense! The final match was between Desi (Form 3) and Toby (Form 1) and there were no holds barred. Some very solid hits and both conkers were showing scars. Eventually, after another almighty hit, Toby’s conker gave up the ghost and shattered leaving a victorious Desi running around the orchard in jubilation. Well done to all who competed and, in particular, the finalists. The beautiful Conker Trophy (hand crafted by our very own Shawn in the maintenance department) will be presented to Desi at the end of term.
