🎢 Exciting news for Duns Primary! 🎢

Scottish singer Nick Morgan and his β€˜No Scotland No Party’ team have selected Duns Primary School as one of the stops on their schools tour!

Nick, known for his β€˜Euros’ and now β€˜World Cup’ song will be bringing plenty of energy, music and Scottish spirit to the school on Friday 15th May🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🎀

Natural loose parts (wooden slices etc.)

Sandpaper
Plastic spirit levels
Vinyl cut off

Post it notes

Wooden garage

We would be very grateful for any donations if anyone has any of these items spare. These can be dropped into our school office. Thank you for your continued support 😊

πŸ€ BERWICKSHIRE BASKETBALL COMPETITION 2026 πŸ€

Last Wednesday 11th March, saw a total of 11 teams battle it out at Eyemouth High School for a place at the Borders Basketball Finals Day!

The teams were split into 2 pools and played each other in a round robin format over the course of the evening. The matches were gripping from the first whistle and there were some extremely close results throughout! πŸ₯΅

The conclusion of our round robin matches produced the following results for each pool:

POOL πŸ…°οΈ
1st: Duns A (14 points / +34 GD)
2nd: Eyemouth A (14 points / +23 GD)
3rd: Chirnside B (10 points / +2 GD)
4th: Duns B (10 points / +1 GD)
5th: Greenlaw (7 points)
6th: Swinton A (5 points)

POOL πŸ…±οΈ
1st: Eyemouth B (10 points / +14 GD)
2nd: Chirnside A (10 points / +6 GD))
3rd: Duns C (8 points / +8 GD)
4th: Eyemouth C (8 points / -2 GD)
5th: Swinton B (4 points)

The pool standings resulted in the semi-finals being fought out between Duns A and Chirnside A, and Eyemouth B and Eyemouth A, eventually ending in an Duns A vs Eyemouth A final - Duns A just edging it out in a closely-contested 4-0 victory πŸ†

Congratulations to Duns A who progress through to our Borders Finals on Thursday 26th March at Queens Centre, Galashiels! A massive GOOD LUCK to them πŸ€

A free, fun and friendly weekly 2k event for all children aged 4–14. Held every Sunday at 9:30am in Eyemouth.

Junior parkrun is:

✨ A great way to build on Cross Country progress
✨ Fully marshalled and safe for young runners
✨ A brilliant, pressure‑free way to stay active and enjoy being outdoors

Whether your child wants to get faster, stay active between school events, or simply enjoy running with friends each week, junior parkrun is an ideal next step. Many families even head to Giacopazzi’s afterwards for a post‑run treat! 🍦

Thank you to those that attended our launch night last night!

The application forms for the Wynsome Mayde and court can now be found outside the school office, along with the post box for completed forms.

If you would like an electronic form sent to you please email: [email protected]

β€’ Primary 1 can apply to be a page
β€’ Primary 2-6 can apply to be a flowerbearer
β€’ P7 girls can apply for the Wynsome Mayde party
β€’ Primary 7 can apply to be a Sword Bearer, Crown Bearer, Herald or Courtier

Children who have been part of the court before are more than welcome to apply again!

Closing date is Friday the 20th of March.
Please encourage your children to take part, this is a town tradition that this year is celebrating its 80th anniversary!
