Parish Councillors are elected every four years (the next elections will be held in May 2025). We are committed to representing the interests of the community and constantly strive to improve the life of the people we represent and enhance the local environment. We do this by working closely with the County Council, community groups, voluntary organisations, police, local businesses and, most impo

rtantly, our residents. We support local community organisations and new initiatives for the benefit of the Parish. We are able to voice our concerns on issues such as highway maintenance, traffic, refuse and policing. We are also consulted on local planning applications and although we can inform the County Council of our views, we cannot approve or reject applications ourselves.

Once there, you will be able to buy products from local handicrafters their stalls will be brimming with goods. The community garden will have a tombola for those feeling lucky.

It is with regret that Esh Parish Council has taken the decision to close the Bobby Robson play area until further notice. This decision hasn't been taken lightly, however due to the recent and ongoing vandalism we have no other choice. We are aware that it is school holidays and that this will cause inconvenience .
Unfortunately due to the severity of the damage and concerns for health and safety reasons the park will remain closed until all repairs have been carried out.

Esh Parish Council are saddened to be reporting vandalism once again to the Bobby Robson play area. Over the weekend two litter bins have been set alight, with the one in the toddler play area being well ablaze. This has caused a significant amount of damage to the bin, the rubber flooring and fence panels. There was also rocks and broken glass strewn around.
The incident has been passed to the police and CCTV footage requested to see who is responsible.
It is only one year since this park was refurbished at a significant cost to Esh Parish Council. It has been vandalised many times during that time. In the past parish councillors, who are volunteers have cleaned up the graffiti etc. This time the damage is too extensive and specialist companies will have to be brought in. This will cost money which could be put to better use for the community. A few people are spoiling it for the majority.
This is a resource for the community that should be enjoyed. The likelihood now is that the play area will have to close until the repairs are carried out.😡😥
