Many thanks to NPHS Fire Sprinklers Ltd for sponsoring the NorthEast Fire Services Boxing Section, with tracksuits and kit! The team were in Ireland this weekend for a bout and kindly sent us a picture! They also have a big international tournament in Newcastle at the end of August with 200-300 firefighters taking part from across Europe and the USA in a multi-event competition. NPHS Fire Sprinklers Ltd are dedicated to designing and installing domestic and residential fire sprinkler systems to not only meet but exceed BS9251:2014 throughout the UK.

After a successful completion of the installation of the ICO Mist Fire Sprinklers in stage 1 at the prestigious development at Craig House in Edinburgh.
The Qmile Group has contracted NPHS again to install the ICO Mist Fire Sprinkler system into their luxury apartments in stage 2 of this exciting development. "When you build the best you use the best".

LABC Assured accreditation for Mist Systems Closed!

Following on from our last post concerning 3rd party accreditation this bomb shell from the LABC just hit our desk.

“Following the Government’s announcement on 19th January 2021 that a new regulator was to be established in respect of construction materials within the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), together with the details emerging from phase 2, module 2 of the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry, the LABC Board of Directors instigated a comprehensive review of the LABC Assured scheme. The review was conducted in accordance with the general criteria within ISO 10965:2012. The review has now been completed and has reported back to the LABC Board, who have resolved that the LABC Assured scheme should now be closed.
Accordingly, no new applications will now be considered for registration and commencing from the 1st December 2021 all expired registrations will be removed from the LABC register/website. All current registrations will remain on the LABC register/website until their date of expiry whereupon they will be removed”. http://ow.ly/KIst50GZOFZ

NPHS has worked extremely hard to promote and educate our clients on the importance of 3rd party accreditation and are pleased to see that the LABC have taken this action.

As we said in the last post if an installer cannot produce a 3rd party accreditation from either the IFC or Firas, walk away…..

Work started on the new ultra luxury project at King Craig Edinburg. This is a very special project for us, due to the quality of the build, and the quality expected by the developer (Qmile).

After a long and arduous process of qualification NPHS has been chosen to install the ICO Mist Sprinkler system across the whole development.
QMile will only work with 3rd party accredited sprinkler companies to ensure we not only meet the design qualifications required but have been independently vetted to ensure all of our products and installations fully comply with the British Standards.

NPHS are very proud to have full IFC 3rd party accreditation and are the only domestic high pressure Mist company with BAFSA.

Fantastic job completed on all Nine of the supported living Bungalows at the Dalrymple site for North Ayrshire Council.

Each bungalow was fitted with the latest ICO mist sprinkler system ensuring the residents are safe and well from any fire hazards.

Working with McTaggart Construction was a pleasure and we look forward to working with them again on many more projects.

NPHS are excited to announce that they are working with Ashleigh (Scotland) Limited to support the delivery of 116 new-build dwellings for North Ayrshire Council and hub South West.
We will be installing in all of the new units the most up to date Fire Suppression Mist Sprinkler System available on the market, to help ensure the safety of all of the residents.

The new housing developments include: 50 homes at the former Towerlands Primary School site in Irvine; 34 homes at Brathwic Terrace, Brodick, on Arran; 18 homes at St Beya Gardens in Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae, and; 14 homes at the Springvale, Saltcoats.

Work will get underway at three of the sites – Towerlands, Brodick and Millport – within the month while work will start at the Saltcoats site in the spring.

North Ayrshire Council has one of the biggest and most ambitious house-building plans in the country to deliver 1,575 new council homes by 2025. So far, the council has built 345 houses and are well on track to deliver the other homes by 2025.
