Another gorgeous day at Badminton Estate - even the weather was kind to us! We learnt about farming, deer husbandry, tree maintainence and of course the hounds!

Today, Year 4 made some incredible clay statuettes inspired by Ancient Sumerian figurines. They had previously explored human form, modern and ancient sculptures all before designing their clay model. They made armatures out of wire to support their model and make it more stable! They all look incredible!

Y6 had an amazing day yesterday! They wrote lyrics, composed a melody and then recorded their own song. Lots of brilliant teamwork and a fabulous outcome. 🎵 🎤

Our lovely finalists competing at Renishaw for the Knex Challenge! They represented our school brilliantly!

Year 5 had a great time performing their version of Jabberwocky and their own rewritten individual versions of Jabberwocky with portmanteau words and supernatural rhyme! What a talented buch!

We were very lucky to have a visit from author and illustrator Tom Percival this afternoon. 📚 He told us about his books and how he became such a brilliant illustrator. ✏️ We listened to him read Sammy Feels Shy and sang the Big Bright Feelings song. 🎶 Then Y3 took part in a drawing workshop and Tom signed copies of his books for school. Thanks to National Literacy Trust for organising the visit.

Y6 have finished the week with a trip to WWT Slimbridge - highlights included the many goslings and the park! 🛝🪿🐥
