Network Rail didn't care for the majority of residents' opinion nor for the jobs people have lost with Dyce Signal Box's removal. Such a shame. There's nothing original at our station anymore.

ScotRail weren't gracious in donating something from the Signal Box to be preserved in our village either.

On behalf of Dyce Community, Karen & I would like to thank the following for their assistance in our campaign to preserve local history:

Emma Morrice from Evening Express.

Colin Wight of STV News.

Marie Boulton, Neil MacGregor, Alex Nicoll, Martin Greig, Gill Al-Samarai, David Galloway, Ciaran McRae & Steve Delaney of Aberdeen City Council.

A community campaign to save a historic Aberdeen railway signal box has reached the end of the line – and demolition has started.

It will be gone very soon.

It will be gone very soon.

According to a source the Signal Box will commence demolition TOMORROW.

Why would Network Rail want to demolish the box's rich history? Even a local councillor has branded it a "landmark".

This page is to Save Dyce Signal Box. We fully appreciate other monuments in our town but those aren't being threatened. If you're not willing to support your neighbours' campaign, which is your right, please refrain from being obstructive. Lots of people are angry.

We have reached out to Network Rail. Hopefully they'll give us a compromise.

Network Rail have let us down.

As most of you will be aware, our campaign to Save Dyce Signal Box has failed. Network Rail has filed for its destruction with Aberdeen City Council. I have had many conversations with ACC but they, apparently, can't decline NR's request for some reason.
According to a resident there are signs at Dyce Train Station explaining no vehicles are allowed to be parked by the Signal Box to allow works to be undertaken for its removal.
