A huge shout-out to Penguin Books (based over in Frating)! ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ“š They saw our recent post about The Book Thief and have kindly supplied us with a whole stack of BRAND NEW Penguin booksโ€”both for adults and children. We are already filtering them into the phone box!

Fantastic news doesn't stop there: they will also be supplying books directly to Earls Colne Primary School! ๐ŸŽ’โœจ

The books arrived at the perfect time, coinciding nicely with Juliet Townsend's annual window refreshing and Sidmar Electrical carrying out maintenance on our solar light (and they've now installed the CCTV!).

Huge thanks to everyone helping keep our community phone box looking brilliant and safe.

Pleased to advise that with warnings of CCTV in operation - thanks to support from Sidmar Electrical - it does appear we have deterred our book thief from further visits! The book exchange is now fully restocked, including several LARGE PRINT, some author sets, and "Horrible Histories" for Young adults!
